About Blake
When I was sixteen, a car accident left me with a traumatic brain injury. Before it, I was good at math and had a clear path ahead of me. Afterward, that version of me faded, and recovery meant slowly finding out who I had become and what actually mattered to me.
In college I chose a STEM degree that fit the person I used to be. The mismatch eventually got too loud to ignore, and I had to decide whether to keep chasing my old self or build from who I really was. That choice is a big part of why I do this work. I know how hard it is to let go of who you think you should be.
I come from generations of Texas farmers and ranchers, which taught me to work hard and keep going. My own recovery taught me something else: that emotions carry information about what we need, what we value, and where our limits are. That idea sits at the center of how I work.
How it shapes the work
I don't push anyone toward a predetermined version of themselves. The work is getting genuinely curious about who you are, including the parts you've been working around, and building from there.
Outside the office, I'm usually with my wife and our dog, Kova, training with kettlebells, following Texas A&M sports, or staying close to my family's ranching roots.
